Tip: Best fishing is from the two floating piers in the spring and fall.

Como Lake Como Lake Park. South of Como Lake Avenue, off of Gatensbury Street.
Facilities: fishing pier (new for spring 2008), washrooms, walking trail, playground
Tip: Best fishing is from shore in the spring and fall. Fish from the new pier, scheduled to be complete for spring 2008.
Regulations: Regional regulations
Lafarge Lake Town Centre Park. At the corner of Pinetree Way and Guilford Way. Adjacent to City Hall, Douglas College, and the Recreation Center.
Facilities: Fishing pier, pit-toilets, day use picnic area, walking and hiking trails, wheelchair accessible
Tip: Good shore and pier fishing. Best fishing is in the spring and fall.
Rice Lake Metro Vancouver Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. Take exit #22A (Mount Seymour Parkway Exit) from Hwy 1, turn left at the intersection onto Lillooet Rd and follow to the parking area. Walk a short trail to the lake. For wheelchair access, see the gate operator.
Facilities: fishing pier, washrooms, nature trails
Tip: Fish from shore or from the small pier. Best fishing is in the spring and fall.
Regulations: Regional Regulations
Green Timbers Lake Green Timbers Urban Forest. Parking lot is accessed from the14600 block of 100 Avenue.
Facilities: dock, washrooms, walking trails, playground
Tip: Fish from the small dock at the east end of the lake in the spring and fall. The dock is used for boat rentals during the summer months.
Deer Lake Deer Lake Park. From Hwy 1, take the Kensington exit south to Canada Way and follow signs to Deer Lake Park. Parking lot off of Sperling Ave offers the best access to the small dock.
Facilities: floating walkway with 2 platforms, washrooms, walking trails, swimming beach
Tip: Fish from the floating walkway at the south end of the lake in the spring and fall to avoid the summer crowds.
Sasamat Lake Belcarra Regional Park. From Ioco Rd, drive north on 1st Ave and turn left on Bedwell Bay Rd. Parking lot is located at White Pine Beach. Walk sout on the loop trail to fish from the floating walkway.
Facilities: fishing dock, trails, boat launch
Species: stocked catchable-sized rainbow trout; cutthroat trout and introduced smallmouth bass, yellow perch, and pumpkinseed sunfish
Tip: Fish from the dock on the Ed Nixon trail or launch your own boat from Leigh Rd.
Langford Lake
Access the fishing dock on the Ed Nixon trail (boardwalk on the western edge of the lake) from Goldstream Ave at the TransCanada Hwy. A public boat launch is located at the end of Leigh Rd.
Facilities: boat launch, trails, toilets, swimming beach and picnic area
Species: stocked catchable-sized rainbow trout; introduced brown bullhead, pumpkinseed sunfish and smallmouth bass
Tip: Fish from shore or from a small boat.
Thetis Lake Thetis Lake Regional Park. From Victoria, drive the TransCanada Hwy and take the Colwood exit. Follow the Old Island Hwy and turn right on Six Mile Road.
Facilities: fishing pier, boat launches, trails, toilets, swimming beaches, playgrounds and picnic areas.
Species: stocked catchable-sized rainbow trout; introduced yellow perch, smallmouth bass, pumpkinseed sunfish, and brown bullhead.
Tip: Use the extensive trail system to access numerous shore fishing opportunities, fish from the pier on the NW shore, or launch your own boat (make sure you follow the boating restrictions).
Elk/Beaver Lakes Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park. Follow the Pat Bay Hwy (Hwy 17) from Victoria and watch for Elk or Beaver Lake exit signs. Access the wheelchair accessible fishing pier, located on the NW shore of Elk Lake, via Brookleigh Rd.
